Nemophilist (n.)
One who loves the forest and its beauty and solitude.
Pronunciation: ne-mo-fe-list (Origin – English)

“The most beautiful gift of nature is that it gives one pleasure to look around and try to comprehend what we see.”
– Albert Einstein

Whenever I want to capture something a little different (with perhaps a touch of vintage), I reach for my Helios 44-2. A bit similar to the SOL 45, it has shutter blades which give a quirky look to your images. This lens is also good for capturing bokeh (see top image).
The only downside of the Helios 44-2 for me personally is that it doesn’t produce deep rich colours. I’m a fan of deep, rich colour. But it does produce pleasant muted colours (slightly desaturated). Perfect for old-worldly style / vintage images which I’m fond of too.
What lens do you reach for when you want to try something a little different?
This post and images really speak to my heart. Beautiful work, Wendy.
